Danny has a diverse commercial and regulatory practice with a particular focus on corporate governance, securities, and class action disputes. He has appeared before all levels of court in British Columbia and Ontario, as well as in Federal Court. He also appears before a variety of regulators.

Many of Danny’s clients are involved in contract or business disputes. These include shareholder oppression, director liability, and corporate governance matters. He has advised public, private, charitable and trust entities, as well as individual directors and officers.

Danny frequently acts for regulators and regulated persons. He has considerable experience before provincial securities commissions and the B.C. Financial Services Tribunal. He has also advised clients before agricultural marketing boards, environmental regulators, and professional regulators.

Danny’s experience includes Aboriginal, class action, competition, construction, fraud, insolvency, intellectual property, pension, product liability, real estate, and securities litigation.

  • Counsel for a prominent mining consortium successfully defending a claim for an alleged finders fee in connection with a gold mining project in Ecuador
